Kevin Schwanz came to Skagit Powersports in Burlington, WA, and I presented him with the Kevin Schwanz custom artwork that I recently finished for this weekend event. Schwanz loved the artwork, and told us the unique story and history behind his motorcycle and that particular moment captured within the art. Schwanz was very personable, full of wild and wonderful racing stories, and even had some jokes about Wayne Rainey.

Legendary Kevin Schwanz winning the MotoGP

Kevin Schwanz on the Suzuki MotoGP race bike

This is a custom artwork piece of the legendary Kevin Schwanz that Skagit Powersports asked me to do. This art is huge, in terms of size, and it took me a very long time to finish. It’s a wonderful looking piece from that era in MotoGP history.

Nicky Hayden Honda MotoGP World Champion

Nicky Hayden, #1, MotoGP, Champion

This art is of Nicky Hayden “The Kentucky Kid” riding the new 2007 Honda Repsol 800cc MotoGP bike with the #1 race number plate he won from the 2006 MotoGP Championship. Limited edition prints, and the original art, is available for sale here in the PNW Motorsports online webstore with free shipping on all orders.

Nicky Hayden #1 and Valentino Rossi

Nicky Hayden #1 Honda against Valentino Rossi Yamaha in 2007 MotoGP

Valentino Rossi and the Sword in the Stone

Valentino Rossi, Sword in the Stone, Yamaha, MotoGP

This art is of Valentino Rossi “The Doctor” riding his new 2007 Yamaha M1 800cc MotoGP bike with the Excalibur (The Sword in the Stone) paint scheme. The legend goes that the sword, Excalibur, was encased in stone and could only be removed by the true King (Arthur). Rossi’s depiction of the Excalibur sword on his motorcycle and helmet is literally saying that he is going to “come out fighting” and that the true King will return to his throne - for an imposter (implying Nicky Hayden) stands in his place at the moment. Had the former MotoGP champion won the 2006 season (Rossi took 2nd place behind Hayden in the championship points standing), Rossi would have been the sole 990cc champion in the history of MotoGP. Prints have been made for this artwork and are available at PNW Motorsports.

Nicky Hayden ahead of Valentino Rossi

Nicky Hayden bringing the end as World Champion over Valentino Rossi

Just another artwork of Nicky Hayden, on his Honda MotoGP bike, coming out ahead of Valentino Rossi, on his Yamaha MotoGP bike, for the 2006 MotoGP racing season. This particular art piece has somewhat of a three-dimensional look to it, not something I usually do, and one-of-a-kind indeed.
